Welcome to My Page!

Hi, I'm Xiyue (Katherine) Hu.

I am a Project Manager and Designer dedicated to the realization of high-fidelity environments—both physical and digital. With a foundation in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a Master’s from Georgetown University, I’ve built my career around translating ambitious visions into tangible, structurally sound realities.

My expertise extends beyond the physical. With a background in UX/UI design, I apply systems thinking to every project and focus deeply on the user journey. Whether I’m designing an intuitive digital interface or managing a complex architectural interior, I care about clarity, function, and how people experience the work.

I’ve managed dozens of architectural millwork projects and have designed products for retail environments. Over time, my work has also expanded into the communication layer of design—how products and spaces are presented through content, visuals, and digital touchpoints. I’m especially interested in the intersection of execution and storytelling, where strong systems support strong messaging.

My work is driven by respect for materiality, a rigorous approach to Design for Manufacturing (DfM), and digital-first precision. I believe success lives in the details—from a seamless joint to a pixel-perfect interface.

My unique background allows me to speak the languages of architects, developers, and engineers alike. My mission is to maintain design integrity from the first sketch or wireframe to the final installation—and ensure every outcome communicates with clarity and intent.
